How to make a bequest to Kettering Mind
A legacy or bequest is the only donation that just
about anyone can make. It is often the greatest donation that anyone
does make. A gift in your Will to support Kettering Mind will
benefit our work immediately and can make a lasting contribution for
generations to come.
Your will is very personal, and we strongly advise you
to consult your legal advisor before drafting a new will or updating
an existing one. We are always happy to discuss your wishes and
intentions but we are unable to offer direct legal or financial
advice on Will making or estate planning.
If you do decide to donate to Kettering Mind through
your Will, then you can choose to give a percentage of your estate
or a specific amount. Your solicitor or other legal advisor will
help you draft your will but a suggestion for the wording might be:
-
"I give the whole (or a percentage share) of the
residue of my estate to Kettering Mind….." OR
-
"I give free of tax the sum of £ (in figures and
words) to Kettering Mind to be used for its general charitable
purposes, and I declare that the receipt of the Treasurer or
other duly authorised officer shall be a full and sufficient
discharge to my Executors."
