Floating Support
The floating support service is based on peoples housing support
needs. The scheme is flexible to enable individuals to dip in and
out of this service as and when their mental health affects their
ability to cope with day to day tasks.
The workers visit people in their own homes and work towards the
individuals own recovery / support plan. This includes helping
people access community facilities and services to enhance the
quality of their everyday lives.
We have the certificate of accreditation from Supporting People
(Northamptonshire County Council) for the services we provide for
our accommodation & floating support for people with mental health
problems, and continually review standards. How are referrals made to Kettering Mind?
A person can be referred by their Doctor, Nurse, Social worker,
another agency, or can self refer direct to Kettering Mind.
On receipt of the referral the person will be invited to attend
an assessment with a staff member from Kettering Mind. Each person’s
experience of mental health difficulties is unique, and therefore
the support they need has to be tailored to the individual.
Following the discussion a plan is made with the individual so
that their needs can be met and the goals that they set can be
achieved.
